Just woundering if anyone has a '95 ZR 700 twin engine kicking around they want to sell. My brother blew his up riding this past weekend up in Pulaski. We doubt anything is worth saving in it because the spark plug got mashed. Its probably a combination of crank/rod bearing failure. Will consider 600 twins also, although were not sure on compatibility. He may just want to sell the sled at this point, whole or part it out IDK. He's losing money at this point. If anyone is interested in buying it, or has an engine just post a reply or PM me. Thanks. Oh, he just replaced jack shaft bearings, drive shaft bearings and I think chain/sprockets (not positive). Sled has about 3500 mi IIRC. Can get more info or his cell if your interested!

I'd be interested in selling you my sled, 95 ZR 700, you have read the description in another post, if interested, get back to me and either way I hope you fix it soon so you can ride. If you are interested in seeing it, I'll have it with me in old forge this Monday until thursday.

I already have a good sled , its a Polaris ... the ZR 700 is my brothers sled. I dont think he has the money to drop a new engine or parts into it let alone buy a diff sled... Thats why hes also interested in selling it if he cant find a fair priced replacement motor or cheap parts. Do you want a spare sled with a bad engine? Make an offer!

I gotcha. Honestly if you asked me a month ago I would have probably jumped on it. I'm in the market for something a little newer now, but I will keep it in mind, good luck either way!

Took the head off today and found major damage. Our best guess is the rod failed at the top of the wrist pin. It cracked the piston in half and blew a hole in the case. I will get some pics up when I remember what I changed my email password too... ;D P.S. He's leaning more towards selling it so if anyone out there is looking for a complete chassis you can call him at 614-554-6681 it's in the Alpine area. Back side of Little Lake your you locals...

Just the top half off the case or the whole thing damaged? Either way, it's going to be an expensive fix.

sorry, the sled was sold whole for $300, he ended up trading his Yamaha 450 moto-x bike for a 2004 Pro-xr 440... guess he's back in business...
