Roady, how much ice did you see on the truck trails? Had a nice ride last Sat. north rd. thru Deryder and Sun. north rd to Georgetown for lunch before the rains came. Spots on the truck trails Sunday (corners especially) were getting slick, ice showing. I think most slick spots were due to hot dogs power sliding their way through the corners. But still a nice ride for the most part. We went about 160 miles for the weekend. If you get the chance to reply, thank you and have a great night. Thanks, Jack

There will still be some ice but if you use a little caution you should be fine. The snow we got this week was very wet and sticky so it's a bettr consistancy than what we have had.

This was yesterday looking off North Rd down S73. The roads melted a bit yesterday and will some more but the trails should be fine for the weekend. I've always said they are wear parts. And they bolt them on rather than weld them on for a reason. ;D

Left South Plymouth on some sweet trails for 23 miles. Moonilights groomers have yet to see daylight or moonlight so far this year in the Georgetown area as it was bumpy till where Snow Valley picks up. It was better but still bumpy. Tuscarora lake was flat and fast to the joint at the end of the lake for lunch. Great food BTW. Then it was over the pipe line which was pretty good and very dangerous with the half marked hazards. A simple CAUTION sign doesn't cut it on the washouts. A TRENCH ACROSS TRAIL sign would be more adequate.
Up over Mystic Mountain was very nice but it really gets thin when you hit the DeRuyter Flats and RR bed towards Truxton so up on Morgan Hill we went. There was some guy with an old Subaru car backed on the woods with a camp fire and having a beer. I think he was waiting for FastPolaris83 . Headed towards Tully but we hit a logging operation and went back towards Labrador. The sunny side of the hill sucked as we headed towards the flats of Truxton.
We then headed up by ole captain Davey Jones old Intermont ski area on Secord Hill where we picked up the twin Bridges trails. Excellent job by George and crew. We buzzed around the pipe line and headed towards Cincinnatus which was great till we hil the Trailhounds stuff around Union Valley which was good till we hit Pink Hill then it was awful back to South Otselic where we picked up the home trails which were sweet. Saw 10 sleds 6 squirrels, 2 hawks, 1 cross country skier, 12 deer, 1 dead deer, 1 queer and no cops.
136 miles and a good day riding here especially since no one thinks there is any decent riding to be had. Sure there was some schwag but there was plenty of good stuff also.

I was up there checking the trails/truck trails for Mama's and my Christmas morning ride. I would have liked to help the poor fella, but I had my company rear wheel drive van and I would have been stuck too. Well, the car was gone at 9 am Christmas morning when we got up there with the sleds, so I guess he made it out ok. ;D By the way, we were the only one's up there that morning and we had a great time. Like little kids with a first snowfall. The first Christmas in 36 years with no kids or grandkids being home, and we go riding. Must be getting old. LOL ;D
