Rode out of Smithville flats yesterday to complete a 145 loop. Headed toward Willet to find a section of trail that appears to have been logged and was a little rough due to lack of snow and warm weather. Proceeded to Cincinatus, then on toward Truxton on C5. My buddy and I ran into the Twin Bridges Club Hot dog roast. We had a great dog and made a donation for the superb trail conditions. There definitely more snow Cortland way and north. Topped off fuel in Truxton to Head toward Deruyter where we meet the Sheriff (behind Coalyard) checking both registrations and Insurance cards. One sled in the group ahead of us had no registration only 09 sticker. These are the people who deserve a ticket, while us who pay the $45 and join clubs to have the privilege to ride the trails. Proceeded on C5C toward Morrisville, West Eaton Georgetown,Pharsailia. Stopped at the Outpost for a refreshment then back to the truck. If you don,t mind a little scrubbing, the ride was what I would call minimal riding condition in certain areas. The best riding is certainly the Truck trails and Cortland and north. Sorry to say I forgot the camera.
