Ride Report 01/10/2010
So we were going to meet at the Wal-Mart at 07:00 AM of course Malorie was dragging this morning (would help if you get in bed before 3am) So we just meet the group at the Solon Sportsman Club Great breakfast for six bucks.
Once breakfast was finished we go out to unload the sleds. Everyone was doing well except for my friend Dana. His battery on his Yamaha was dead. Hooked up the jumper cables but it would not start. We decided it must be flooded even though it is fuel injected. The group decides we will just change the plugs... Ha Ha Note to the 150hp Yamaha owners take a look and see if you can even find your spark plugs (lol) Note: It is best not to try changing these when it is ZERO * out
Working Away
Eric working away:
Well two hours later it was running and we initiated the ride... We rode over the Georgetown Inn for lunch. Note: The food was good but it took FOREVER!!!!!!
Group at the Georgetown Inn:
I finally grew my hair long enough for a ponytail: (lol)
Finished up with lunch and headed back to Solon.
While we were enjoying one of the truck trails on the way back one of the sleds in the group decided it would be a good time to shred a belt . The owner of this Polaris changed the belt in record time and we were on our way again. About 10 miles later Malorie waves me over and says "something is not right it's jumping at take off" I poll the crew and they think its the belt. My friend Dana jumps on it and says come on follow me and tells Mal to jump on his YAMMI ;D ;D insert smiles here.
We stop up the road and decide to change the belt on the Sabercat. One of the group jumps right in and has the belt off and the new one on in a flash. Dana takes of with it again and reports all is good. We continue on back to the Sportsman club and get things loaded up.
Here is our route today(Don't mind the ave MPH is sat idle for 1.5 hours while we were eating luch LOL):
Another View:
All in all it was a great ride. We had some GREAT trails and we found some marginal snow conditions. Up in the hills we found a frozen wonderland, we should have taken more pictures but that did not happen (Mal forgot the camera) so I had to borrow the ones I posted.
And as we always say.... It is always an adventure....
