Talked to Jeff Bishop this morning and he says that for the most part the trails south are not as good as those north (less snow). He rode up around the loop C2H-C5A-C2C.

Got a note today from a club member "Just wanted to let everyone know that the trail that goes up VanDonsel rd. on the very top there has been sleds through the owners lawn in the white house on the right. The owner has contacted me that he does not want sleds through there. He has put signs up and people have ignored them. He is not very happy about this and he will call the police if this does not stop. So please get the word out. Thanks"
Dan and I went thru there yesterday. The trail goes down the side of the road and all tracks lead over a snow bank. As you are going over the bank there is a little sign on the tree that says no snowmobiles. We seen it out of the corner of our eye and thought we were on the trail. Easy mistake to make there with 100 tracks going over the snowbank. I replied to the guy that if he does not hear something back from the club within 24 hrs I will go up there myself and put up yellow tape or snow fence

Take a "No Snowmobiles" sign and put it up there too. It will be the same size as all the other signs and is black and red on white background.

^ I will if I hear back from the guy. I am assuming someone more local up there will handle it.

That is interesting that b/c I was up there on Friday at night and followed tracks like always and never saw the sign...but I will not do that anymore and will let the people that I know who ride up there the same...

Update to the C2 briars in Berkshire I received from Trail boss dan - I groomed the c2 trail from Berkshire past the cabin last night. It took care of the briers good but I still need to trim some trees. I also did the Poor Shots trail and s23b back to Berkshire. They looked good when we got done even though we had low snow. ---
I offered to help trim the trees so we might be up there to finish it soon.

As usual.. d**n mother nature. Trails have only been open 3 weeks! Hopefully we get more snow so we don't have another season like last year!

Trails are mostly open again, but many fields have been windblown and are very thin. Use caution and be courteous of others and landowners by not tearing out the corners and stay in the deeper snow whenever possible., especially along the edges of fields.

Groomer is at Lous cabin in Berkshire right now. Looks like they came from Hammond area to get here. It is 38 degrees and soggy. Even though they groomed it doesn't look like it is doing much than making little snow men haha.
People are spinning their tracks up hills and creating lots of dirt already but as expected.
Trails in Berkshire have great snow cover but with these temps I do not expect them to stay smooth for long. I have seen over 50 sleds today already while out screwing around. I am about to head back out and head to maine to see what it is like over there.

Trails had been groomed and were in good shape From VFW to hammond hill and to slaterville and out downing rd to 76 club. Trail from VFW to cortland had not been groomed as of late last night and is very rough due to drifted snow.
