Tim emailed the local berkshire trail boss and volunteered me and him to help him with the trails down here!

I did not hear back from the berkshire trail boss.. must be berkshire is good to go? Am I needed at the VFW for other trails? I got a nice new stihl chainsaw ready to cut up some wood if needed! I have to do some crap that afternoon in whitney point for my inlaws and work all night saturday night at work 11pm to 5 am so I need to know if I am needed.. if not I am sleeping to get ready for work

As many as can come, signs to put out and brush to clear. I've been working on my trail all week and still need more signs and posts put up. Got most of the road crossings done though.

Matt - I e-mailed Dan earlier this week and have not heard anything back yet from him. I think he may do his own work day on the Berkshire trails when he can fit it in his schedule. Will let you know if I hear anything.

Nice job RJ! Need more guys like you who care.
Tim I got the email tonight about meeting by Lou's cabin on Jewett Hill Road in Berkshire 11-11:30. My schedule got changed and after working all day and now I have to work all night long 11pm-5am. So I will have to sleep when I get home. I will be a little late to meeting you guys so email me a cell phone number so I can call you guys and come find you. I'll have my chainsaw and carharts.

How did everyone make out? We got the berkshire trails mostly done. We widened some trails a touch and got rid of fallen trees and a bunch of other limbs that were messing with the trails. Nice improvement. Signs are up. Have a couple little small things to finish up. More manpower and time wouldn't hurt.

Still got a couple of road crossings to mark and some fields too to do. Ran out of posts again! Dayum, signing them properly takes a lot of posts! I have already used nearly 200 posts and still could use another 100 to finish properly on the C2H trail.

We should look into making posts from the wood at seneca hardwoods. I buy scrap wood from them to burn in my fireplace. It is hardwood that could be used for posts. 25 bucks a HUGE bundle.. hmm

Are you guys going through the trails with 4-wheelers? I wish I could get up to help out. I know it must be a lot of work. The next time I'll be in the area will be the this coming weekend but I know I probably won't have the time.
