Took the main corridor 2 trail today from Berkshire to Whitney Point. 8-10 " of powder with either no base or solid ice base. Some wet spots and a couple of creeks without bridges. Caught the new WP groomer coming back, they were taking their first pass through secondary trail 20 and signing. They had not yet gotten to the trail from Turkey Hill State Forest down to Berkshire, but were hoping to later in the day. The Gutchess land was logged this year, the bridge was missing and the steep trail down to the bridge was blocked by fallen trees apparently. All traffic was using the side route that normally is one way going up the hill from the bridge.
All in all a good ride for the first time out this year. Trails were a bit rough in places, corn fields especially. The flats between Lisle and WP were suprisingly smooth. Saw quite a few sleds out today.

I think the 11th is the day my ZRT broke in the field by tioga hardwoods.
I can see the snowmobile trail from my living room, thats pretty cool.
Thanks for the report. For the 3 miles of trails I was on then, I was not impressed with the lack of base.. blah
