If I stick on 5E will that give us a decent loop? Figured It might not be a bad idea to ask before we leave.

Just wanted to say thanks for the info. I ended up unloading at Mountainview. We tried to make a loop around the lake into Skaneateles but the snow was getting a little thin so we headed back toward Truxton. In the lower lying area's the trails are hit or miss. When we got up in the forest area's (not sure what the names were) the snow was great. The trails in those area's were spectacular. I believe they were seasonal rds. One area really nice was before we got to Labrador Mt (sp) and the other around the Edward rd. area (I think). I can tell all of the clubs in these area's really get out and spend time Marking the trails. We didn't end up getting a map until after 12 (Dandy in Preble was sold out & Mountainview was closed when we unloaded) so the trail markings REALLY HELPED. The only thing I thought could have been a little better was the lack of FOOD signs....or maybe cause I was a little hungry ;-) . Great job to all the clubs in area. I will def. be back when the area gets a couple more inches.

You can also unload in Groton on Conger Blvd at the town hall and at the 24hr gas station right on Main St. We have fair to good snow and you can make the run to Moravia area or Bear Swamp (Colonial Lodge/Sempronius) and over the hill to Dennys Mountainview as well.

We unloaded at the corner of Kiwanis rd and telephone road.
You can also park on Tower Road at the end. goes from regular road to seasonal and the trail is right there, they just park along the side of the road.
