This morning EMTP579 and myself headed up North bright and early. We dropped at the Gristmill (surprised us both) We headed out and found some small rollers and very very small water holes, We ended up in Redfield, ate a late breakfast and headed back to the truck. For the most part trails were SWEET! If this area picks up some lake effect snow the trails will be outstanding! Well worth the trip up...... Even Dan says so.......

Clayton, can you tell me how to find the Gristmill from 81? I'm thinking of getting a ride in, possibly Sat. Thanks! Duane

Haha. I was very surpised at how good the conditions were, especially down low, considering it was 60 earlier in the week. Any of the issues were mostly terrain that snow really cant cover. Some of the trails near williamston and redfield were PERFECT. a fun day and I got home in time for work.

Duane,
Route 81 North to Exit 33, take a left at the end of the exit and the Grist Mill will be immediately on your right, Huge Parking area and the trail goes right out the back of the parking lot. Get there early.... Whatever you do do not park on the road!!! Once on the trails head for the Redfield area.... They are supposed to get 2-4 inches Friday night.

^ we were talking about that. There was alot of doom and gloom. I think the only people who would complain are the people who expect every trail to be as pristine as an interstate highway. The rest of us will recognize that it was a pretty good day especially considering the weather this week. We were able to ripper pretty well down some seasonal roads and across some fields. Also had some nice woods riding. I love riding that section.
