I am inviting any and all who might wish to help and become familiar with some of the trails in the D-C Drifters area to come to the Dryden VFW on Saturday September 27 at 9 am. Bring loppers or camp saws, gloves and heavy boots, Battery operated drill/driver, Hammer, and 1" screws and nails. Team assignments will be made at that time.

RJ- I would love to help out but I'm not sure if I will be home to Waverly late Friday night or early Saturday. By the time I get around it will be too late since I am going up to the Blast to set up around 5 or so Saturday night. Those are some really nice trails in the area. If you get a chance take some pictures.

In today's shopper, the ad says 8am, not 9. Be there or quit complaining about the condition of the trails!

Anybody know when the VFV opens Saturday morning? I'm thinking about breakfast. And is it 8 or 9am?

I'm not sure what time the VFW opens, but the Queen Diner on the corner of 38+13 by the car dealers is open early and has great omelets.

We had a great turnout of volunteers on Saturday for the signing and cleanup on the trails. More showed up than last year and most of the signs are in place. My crew ran out of materials about 11:30 so we called it a day, I still have about 2 miles left to re-sign for the season.
I did not even get the sled off the trailer, so it was a waste of time to haul it around. After I got home however, I did go up to a neighbors house and we tore up the snow in a big field there.
