Can someone please post some examples of areas within the club's trail system that are approved parking areas to reach the trails?
Thanks,
Dan

Do you have the new trail map? I have last years but the trailer drop that I know of is aparently not up to date and off limits. I'm not sure if they updated the maps this year but it sucks if they didn't. I am trying to learn all the spots myself.

I do have the most recent map that was sent to me a few weeks ago, but there are only 3 parking spots designated on the whole map. One in the Owego area, one in Whitney Point and one off of I-88. There have got to be more!

I wish I could help you out. I am a member of that club. I have never made a meeting for them because I work out of Philly and only get back on weekends. I have e-mailed everyone on their website a few times and have never received anything back. I haven't heard anything about the club and the trails. They never update their website. I hear that they do not update their trail maps and a lot of the trails are there but we dont have permission to ride there.
Sorry, i will keep trying to contact the club for more info.

There is a trailer drop site on Rt 38, about 4 miles north of Owego, in the parking lot of a bar/restaurant that is closed right now (for sale). I don't know if this is on the Tioga Club trail or the Candor Club trail - I believe the Tioga Club's trail. That trail heads north to Newark Valley, then to Berkshire. From Berkshire you can either go to Whitney Point and Marathon east, or continue north to Dryden or west to Slaterville.

In Groton, You can park at the town hall and unload (Conger Blvd) and on the street too. At the Extra Mart on Main St, there is an area to the south side of the building that is available for unloading and parking.
I know that it's not in the area the you are asking about, but if the trails that you are wanting to access are unavailable due to lack of snow, This is in the new DC Drifters trail route.

Copied from the other thread:
Here's some updated parking areas for the TRR trails:
Parking at the Moose (right on 17c west of Owego) is OK on Sundays only. Trail is groomed to the Moose.
Parking about 3/4 mile NE of the Moose, on Glenmary Dr, by the Scott Smith and Son tank farm is OK, as long as you don't block access to the tank farm. Trail is immdediately adjacent to the property.
Parking at the old TSI on route 38 approx 5 miles N of Owego is OK. Lot is usually still plowed. Trail runs right through parking lot.
Parking at Calico Jack's (actually on Candor trail system) is OK. Calico Jack's is about 7 miles N of Owego on rt 96.
