Took the day off work to ride and it was well worth it. Sure didn't need to haul the sleds up north to find nice trails (done that twice already). Rode from West of Moravia, up Filmore Glen State Park and to Lake Como (gotta say that Finger Lakes isn't out grooming yet- no surprise again this year). Got to the Cortland Seven Valley Sno Goers and it was awesome. Continued through Little York to East Homer and on to DeRuyter. Never did see a groomer but they must have all been just ahead of us because the trails were fantastic. Truxton Trail Riders trails might have been a little rough but I think they're out on the trails.
Happy riding while we have snow!

Thanks for the report. I'm hoping what you had with what we are getting will lead to a nice day. Whitney Point area was OK yesterday, but if we get 5-6 more it will be good riding!

Took about the same ride today we started at Filmore Glen State Park, unsure of the route but we went to Homer also I believe it was Mountian View Resturant. We were headed to Song Mountian when my step sons sled blew up. We headed back and did see the groomer. Great trail system First time riding in this area but not the last. People were very helpful when we made it back to the resturant to get his sled they helped load it, Very much appreciated. Thank you.

HAHA, not the first time forum members passed in the night. Matt, Medic944 said he remembers seeing us in Winona the day that you had some "issues" with your track.

We were there the first time to eat at around 1 pm and then to pick up the sled at 4:30 or so.

Long ride Saturday. Same route to Deruyter and pretty much the same type of trails. Then on through Georgetown and into Morrisville. C5C out of Morrisville into a blinding blizzard but made it back to Deruyter. Then over to Truxton and on to Hill N Dale Restaurant to eat (can't beat these Central NY restaurants!) and back through Little York and home. FingerLakes had groomed sometime after noon and I've never ridden such nice trails into the Filmore Glen State Park such as these were. Not enough snow to groom the west side of the hill to home and there had been plenty sleds out during the day too. Off again today somewhere. Happy riding!
