Well we got out for a ride on Wednesday. We started at Whitney Point Reservoir, toward Smithville, Pharsalia, Deruyter, Willet and back.
The conditions varied from very good, to rather poor due to many and large wet spots and mud holes. The truck trails in Pharsalia were excellent with snow about 16". The seasonal roads near Deruyter were also very good.
The conditions vary so much in such a short distance that it is difficult to say where to or where not to ride.
We definitely need a cold spell. I probably would not start at Whitney Point or even Pharsalia. I would probably go further north around Cortland or some where.
All in all 150 miles and nice to be riding so early and close to home.

Do you know where we can park our truck to unload in the Cortland area? I'm from Endicott and thinking of checking out the trails in that area this Sat.
Thanks

I have never started from Cortland, so I have to do a little research on that myself. Any suggestions anyone?
Thanks,

Thanks for the tip to ride from the VFW. I tried that today and it was alot of fun. I did about 50 miles and can't wait to come back up there (from Vestal) when the weather cooperates again. There are some nice trails there.
