Just out!! December 17, 2007 PRESS RELEASE- For Immediate Release MOST SNOWMOBILE TRAILS NOT OPEN YET Even though a good portion of the state received a wonderful blanket of snow this weekend, most snowmobile trails are not open. Most trails open on the 19th of December, the day after Muzzle Loader and Bow Hunting Season closes (on the 18th). To make sure of trail opening dates, snowmobile riders should check with the snowmobile clubs in the region they plan to ride. Statewide information for snowmobile clubs can be found at www.nyssnowassoc.org/statemap.htm. The snowmobile clubs of New York State, in cooperation with the landowners we have our trail system on have agreed not to open the trails until hunting season is complete. We hope everyone has a safe season once trails are open, please remember the NYSSA safety motto: Know Your Limit, Ride Within It. Please respect our landowners-stay on the trails or stay home. Local Contact info: Gary Broderick, (716) 807-7002. Sincerely, GARY J. BRODERICK Vice-President, NYSSA Niagara County District Director Niagara County Snowmobile Trail Coordinator Vice President, Shawnee Sno-Chiefs Snowmobile Club, Inc.
