I picked up the 98 MACH Z this year. It is known to have electrical problems and some more stuff. I'm 98% sure the updates were done. Right now I am having problems with the fuel gauge, left hand warmer, and the headlight.
The headlight comes on half the time, and when it does its only low beams.
Does anyone know about these ski-doos and the problems they had?
It runs like a champ though!! and its fast as hell!

My father uses a mechanic (Ski-doo) that works out of his home in Camptown (down below LeRaysville) who really knows his chit. He's not cheap, but cheaper than most sled shops, and he's good! If you'd like his phone number, just let me know, and I'll get it from my father.

Do you know him personally? I would just like to ask about it. I can do the work, but if he's a ski-doo mech he is probably aware of the problems the 98's had.

My father knows him better than I.... I'll get his phone number later tonight and post it here for you Rob....it can't hurt to give him a call, right?
Although the snow is a bit thin, I think I may head up to my parents place a bit later for a few miles of riding, most likely will get in about 30 miles or so.... We went out last night and put on about 25 miles.....cold as hell, but man did the sleds run awesome! ;
