This is my first ride report so bear with me as I attempt to write up something useful.
We rode mostly the Hammond Hill Area.
We dropped at the Dryden VFW around 6pm last night and rode down (on the map) towards slaterville springs - we took TK21 (I think) and the trail was at least broken until we hit Yellow Barn Road where we met the 5 sleds that were breaking the trail. We rode with them up to where the Cross Country Skiers park and found that to be unbroken past that parking lot. We turned around and went the other way at the intersection on the road to find that trail unbroken past the highway where that large hill is as well. So we turned back around and went to the intersection in the middle of the woods (at this point the trail breakers turned back for gas) and it was just the two of us again.
Ended up going back to the VFW and going the other way (up on the map) and after going swimming a few times we made it to the 366 crossing to find the trail unbroken past that point and thats when we decided to go get some food in Dryden. Trail was broken all the way to McDonald's and we ate there before riding back the the VFW. Total was about 40 miles on the odometer.
Here are few pics I took along the way.
picasaweb.google.com/InternetFreakMHL/Snowmobiling?feat=directlink <<< Still cant get them to embed for some reason so heres a link to the album.
I turned on GPS tracking at the start but it doesn't look like it worked for some reason.
Overall snow was deep and trails were mostly unbroken or broken by one or two sleds. There was water in some places (mainly in the middle of some fields) but nothing we weren't able to get through. Was hoping to meet a groomer somewhere but didn't see one at all. Next time Ill hopefully have a GPS Map to post with the report so its alot less words.
Hopefully riding again tonight if conditions hold up around 5:45ish if anyone is interested.
