Hey guys, just throwing this out there since I finally got the 2nd SRX done and riding. I've put about 25 miles or so total on the sled this season after finally getting it back together but only about 7 since its been more or less complete. It's not running quite perfectly yet but with some tweaking I'm thinking it should be good to go, I'm going to get it out again this afternoon on what "snow" we have left and get some pictures. I've also found out that this chassis isn't the greatest at soaking up the bumps like the Apex does...but gotta love the ride, it's light and FAST!!! ;D It doesn't look quite as good as the other SRX I redid but this was done with more of a weekend riding sled and/or Vintage rider. I'm hoping we get at least 1 more blast or at least enough to get one more ride in at least up North. Hope everyone else is doing well and coping through this "warmup".. ..THINK SNOW and I'll get some pictures of the sled on later today. Mike

Mike, I would love to see some pictures of what you have done to this sled. It's always great to see old sleds brought back to life. It's a lot of work.
Trails here are holding up okay, the southern exposure spots are getting thin and any road riding is totally bare, but with a little snow, they will be fine.
If you head up north, let me know. I would like to get in at least one more weekend up there.

Well,
Last time I was home in the valley I took the old SRX out for a rip and it didn't go so well... After sitting all summer and nearly all of last season due to snow conditions, I made it 4 laps around the property before I noticed more steam than the usual on the coolers. I popped the hood and couldn't see anything out of the ordinary so I decided to take it for another lap and see if it clears anything out. After the lap I popped the hood and noticed some nice green liquid pumping out from the case/cylinder base gasket! Awesome, right?
So the SRX is out of commission and more than likely will be until this summer when I get a chance to mess around with it...
