the crack is right here That area should be able to be welded without much problem if you have a good welder do the job for you. Generally it is best to drill a small hole at each end of the crack to help prevent further cracking. The drilled holes will then be filled when welded. Let us know how you make out with it! Duane

i will but it will have to wait till i get the new track and slides. they have to come first since they are kind of the most expensive. being laid off stinks.

well today I was looking at some sleds on the net and was looking at my Sled how to improve its looks and to me the Red looks like Crap. I have started sanding the entire Sled to be painted a Dark Gray. if all goes well te Sled will be done by the end of the weekend.

well yesturday ive started sanding the sled but obviously i will have to wait for primer and paint. its been raining a week now and today is snowing like crazy and weather.com sais its going to rain for about another week then start to get warmer 60ish.
Ive decided to go with White for the Sled because for some reason ive always loved the color white. anyways i need some info on drop brackets. is there a site that I can just buy PRE made Drp brackets for my Sled? If i drop the Rear 2 inches will I have to Modify the front end at all??

Just curious here, but why would you want to "drop" the rear of your sled?

By raising the rear of the sled, you'd be putting more pressure on the skis, which will increase steering effort, carbide/ski wear and certainly will make the front suspension work harder. If it were me, I'd leave her stock and make sure the shocks are all in good condition. Hope this is of some help to you....

yeah it is but to be honest i hate how it looks stock. ive seen the same sled but with 3 inch drop brackets installed and it looks nicer. i just wish the weather would warm up so i can get my butt working on the paint. i havent even road a sled yet and im addicted lol working on it is alot of fun and im learning alot.

If you plan on trail riding that sled, I would go with what Duane suggested. Leave it alone and make sure all springs and shocks are good to go. Dropping it three inches will take away from the ride!. You start hitting some swoops and moguls you will wish you had that three inches back. ;D

Edd, Ditto on all the suggestions from the team. Looks are one thing but a good comfortable ride is everything and that includes handling. (To me anyway...)

One inch drop at most will give you the rise of the rear that you want and still give good handling and better go in deep snow.
